New Generation

Once again I did not go to Whistler. It was a sad trip but the weather was very beautiful and I went almost there and back, again. This is not someone I saw, and that is not somewhere I went, nor did I take this photo. I was somewhere else with someone else, doing something else. But I can say I wish I had been there, with them, then.

I H8 I-5

Should have taken the train. I ask myself, when will it end?

Welcome Bob!

Bob has arrived to accompany the lads, who are quite nonplussed about the whole thing. It's taken the schnarking up a level. Hooray! What a good move. It inspired confidence, perhaps, for other good moves? I hope so!

Why not move?

Why not move to V ancouver? Everyone else does. Or, for that matter, to Astoria, where the real estate is cheap and plentiful and the clam chowder is always help-yourself? Where is a crab to go? Peering at various charts, wondering what will transpire.

Vancouver

A somewhat tiring trip to Vancouver with lots of results. Cathy off sailing. Jane and I went to an art exhibition. I met a dog with one eye called Soleil. There were fireworks. It was a long drive. Swam in the ocean 6 times.

Seaside Crab

Been visiting the "sea lion caves" way out in the Cove, having a good time but oddly dreaming. Discovered a great BBQ place in my own back yard. Odd times. Trying for the mystic magicks now and then.

Long Time No Blog

It's been a wild winter. Audrey did die, moments later. John is now in Kansas visiting. Last week we went to the Pendleton Outlet Store in Washougal and bought a purple blanket. We went up the Gorge and walked into many waterfalls. I climbed 2/3 of Beacon Rock while John waited below under an umbrella. It was very beautiful. We saw about 9 eagles and visited an old apple orchard on the north shore of the Columbia (St. Cloud Waystation) and the new William Clark Park north of Washougal. Ate in the very strange Charbroiler Restaurant at the south foot of the Bridge of the Gods. At last, at dusk, I was alone with a waterfall. The world turned a little.
