Snowed Like the Dickens

Last week it was very snowy on my day off. I was glad to be inside. I dragged my 30 in. Alvar Aalto bentwood stool into the corner and took snapshots in the dusk. This week we went to the Classical Chinese Garden for lunch, and it was blustery. The forsythia overlooking the lake was in bloom. We had traditional New Year's spicy little warm "turnip" cakes for dinner, with tea and noodles. They were really made of shredded daikon: my insides are still burning - Gung Ho Fat Choi! John noticed a blue bird sitting on the willow tree outside, remarking, "the bluebird of petulance." My comeuppance. I took my camera but it decided to delete all its photos, which is just fine. We made some little impressions with a rubber "chop" - longevity and joy. Mel Mohn died last week, they say Audrey will follow him this coming week. Sally is in Borneo. How strange it is!
